Full Time

When the tech giants arrived, they promised boundless connectivity, endless data, and a digital utopia.

Reality check: we’re drowning in a sea of useless information.

Enter bitdrift. We’re here to rewrite the script, giving engineers the power to control the chaos and turn down the noise. We’re flipping the switch on traditional monitoring tools, offering a real-time solution that’s light on the wallet and heavy on results.

We’re looking for unusual people who see the world differently and don’t accept the status quo.

We are a small team of kind and talented people. Join us as we navigate the murky waters of observability with renewed hope.

We are looking for experienced pre-sales professionals who have a successful track record landing large enterprise customers, even as a smaller company. Working with our founders, you will define and direct the technical strategy for our largest and most important accounts, leading to widespread use of our products, as well as wider and deeper adoption of mobile observability within those accounts. You will lean upon your solid background in value selling, technical account management, and technical leadership to maximize the customers’ success. While you will work closely with product and engineering, this is a technical role, and you will be asked to apply our unique approach to mobile observability to a range of use cases important to target accounts in verticals such as High Tech, Finance, and Retail. You will build proofs of concept and demonstrate bitdrift’s products.

What You’re Responsible For

  • You work with multiple clients as the main technical voice for bitdrift.

  • You implement the technical strategy in customer accounts, via a close understanding of the company direction and customer needs. You will own how we position ourselves technically to solve specific problems within their app/product, integration and rollout management.

  • You build trust and gain the respect of their engineering teams, as well as successfully communicate with executive stakeholders.

  • You build a movement of technical champions within the account to ensure successful and continued adoption of the bitdrift platform throughout the organization.

  • You serve as the voice of the customer within bitdrift. Gather insights, feedback, and trends from our customer and community and work closely with our engineering and product teams to inform product development, as well as documentation and technical articles.

Who You Are

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.

  • Proficiency at establishing virtual teams, and leading them to success within accounts.

  • Experience working selling large deals (> $1m ACV), global accounts.

  • Forming lasting relationships with executives and influencers within a company. This may include travel to customer locations on a regular basis.

  • Technical skills in mobile development, observability, cloud preferred.

  • Production programming experience in any of Swift, Java, Kotlin, or Rust preferred.

What to Expect in the First 30 Days

You’ll have an accelerated onboarding process, where you gain familiarity with our products and existing codebase by pairing with a senior engineer on a number of bug fixes, architectural changes, and an onboarding project integrating our core product. You’ll also be asked to sit in on a number of customer interactions as we present and integrate our platform. We’ll also ask you to contribute to our documentation and public channels (blog, social).

What to Expect in the First 90 Days

  • Take personal ownership of multiple initiatives to improve our Proof of Concept and onboarding processes, with a goal of increasing our conversion and retention, by improving the understandability of our product and shortening the time to value for our customers.

  • Participate in multiple sales conversations, Proof of Concept engagements, and integration and onboarding processes.

  • Help us scale customer feedback by building systems to collect, collate, and close feedback loops into our products, with the ultimate goal of significantly influencing our product roadmap.
